Asaph was a percussionist and a song leader in King David's day and he is also the author of Psalm 73. A major question arises from Psalm 73 and that is this "How could a good God allow the wicked to prosper whilst the righteous suffer?"
Thousands of years ago Asaph was struggling with the prosperity of the wicked and the perils of the Godly. Asaph knew the goodness of God but he struggled with the fact that when he looked at his world "The wrong people were getting what seemed to be right and the right people were getting what seemed to be wrong." Asaph's whole point of view changed when he came into God's presence. When Asaph came into the presence of God, he actually saw things from God's point of view. What a difference it can make in our lives when we meet with God in prayer and open our eyes to His perspectives. What a difference it can make to your life when you come to Church to hear God's Word and receive His light on our problems. What a difference it can make in your life when in your pain you read His Word and get God's comfort.
