We must do everything in our power to reconcile regardless of the other how many times the other person has hurt us and regardless of their reactions to our attempts to make things right.
Q. Is reconciliation always possible? A. Humanly speaking – no it is not always possible?
Q. Why is reconciliation not always possible? A. Because both parties have to be desire reconciliation and be humble enough to pursue it?
Q. Can we force someone to forgive us and reconcile? – Romans 12:18 A. No, we cannot force them to do anything! But that really isn't the issue. Our focus shouldn't be on the other person and their obedience to God. Our focus needs to be on our own hearts and our obedience to Christ.
Q. Since we cannot force them to reconcile does that excuse us from the obligation forgive them and to pursue reconciliation? – Romans 12:18 A. No, we must do everything we can to remove all barriers and make it appealing for them to embrace reconciliation. We are commanded by our King to pursue it.
Q. Is reconciliation always possible? A. Humanly speaking – no it is not always possible, but with God All things are possible (Matthew 19:26)
