What a privilege is ours this Sunday as we celebrate new life in Jesus Christ. Several of our brothers and sisters will take an essential step of obedience to the Lord and proclaim their allegiance to Him through baptism. Baptism is not merely a public profession of an individual's faith in Jesus, it is a proclamation from God Himself of His great work for His own, His will for His own, and His future for His own. "... we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life." I hope to see you here this Sunday as we turn to Romans 6 and consider "Alive to God in Christ."
