Jesus illustrated man's guilt and unrighteousness beginning at our text. He addressed the fifth commandment: "Thou shalt not kill" . However, He moved it from the act of killing to the thought of anger. Who is not guilty of unjustifiable anger? None of us. Therefore, His point is made. We must have the righteousness that He earned which God accepted and imputed.
