We progress from a time of lamentation and crises to a time of salvation and vindication. Here we see what God did for Israel in the face of repentance before Him. it is a great picture of how God works in the church when he finds repentant hearts. True repentance will bring us to a place that, no matter what is going on in our country and the world, we're fully satisfied with the One that holds all of it in His hands. Repentance leads to fruitfulness. Now, not only will we be at rest, at peace and satisfied, but also in who gave it to us. We will not forget the One who has been so gracious and wonderful to us. The only way the world will know who God is is through His church and whenever God finds repentant hearts there will He be manifested.
