"Silence is golden!" Those are my sentiments after a very busy day with a lot of activity and conversation. Just to sit, relax, do nothing and enjoy silence. There are places where we expect quietness, but heaven is not one of them. Heaven is usually a very noisy place, bot for 30 minutes, when Jesus opens the seventh seal, there is stillness and silence in heaven. Why? Why does everything appear to stop and everyone is quiet? And then what breaks the stillness and silence? Stillness and silence are the only proper responses to impending judgment as the seventh seal releases the seven trumpet judgments, which in turn unleash the seven bowls of God's wrath upon mankind. The stillness is broken by the seven angels receiving the seven trumpets and by the offering of the prayers to God by the saints. The silence is broken as God once again shakes the world! The worst is yet to come! For us, there are times when we need to be still in God's presence but there are also times when we need to speak! We are invited to come boldly before the throne of grace, to find mercy and grace to help in our time of need!
