Zophar makes up things for which he can accuse Job. He is relentless, showing no sympathy. For Zophar, Job could be getting worse, and should be thankful he is not - therefore Job should repent now and fix things while he can. Zophar's speeches distort the truth about God and in the end do not offer any kind of real solution to Job.
