I believe that many Christians think that the Resurrection of Jesus that first Easter Sunday was an event that has no bearing on our lives today. That there are no real benefits that flow from Christ's resurrection, but nothing could be more untrue. The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ were not private events, but the public work of our covenant mediator who died and rose again as our representative. And as we will hear this morning - the empty tomb has everything to do with how we live our lives today as disciples of Jesus.
