Is Jesus whom He said He was? The fact is that Jesus is God. God became a Man in the person of Jesus Christ. He did that to take the punishment on HImself. In this passage, Jesus died for our sins was buried, and rose again. This is the heart of the Scriptures. It is about what Jesus has done for us. Jesus had the power to save Himself but had He done so we would not have been saved. Jesus did not just die and stay dead, He died and rose again. Whether Jew or Gentile, the human heart is to look to Jesus and say, you are not my King. People will be slaves to all sorts of sin in order not to be slaves to the only One worthy of our praise and worship. Jesus paid our debt in full. We owe everything to Jesus. Everything that happened is exactly as God had planned, even the death of His Son.
