Isaiah 26 appears to be a song of triumph that many place in the Millennium because it speaks of a triumphant Jerusalem. This is a city of triumph for God’s people to gather. “In that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah: ‘We have a strong city; God will appoint salvation for walls and bulwarks. Open the gates, That the righteous nation which keeps the truth may enter in.’” (Isaiah 26:1–2) Verse 3 of this song contains an amazing promise which intrigues me and makes me want to adopt it as my promise for the New Year. I commend it to your consideration. “You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.”
