A. The Identity of the Judge: the Son
1. All judgment given to the Son (John 5:22) 2. The Son is the judge of the quick and the dead (Acts 10:42; 1 Peter 4:5). B. The Fear of the Judge 1. Heaven shall pass with a great noise (2 Peter 3:10). 2. The earth shall be burned up (2 Peter 3:10). 3. Those standing before the throne will be alone with nothing to hide behind.

D. The Saved Dead
1. The mention of the "book of life" in Revelation 20:12 and Revelation 20:15 would lead you to believe that there will be some at this judgment whose names will be found in it. 2. Tribulation saints a. Those saved during the tribulation would have already been resurrected and sitting on thrones by this time (Revelation 20:4). b. Perhaps their judgment will not occur until after the millennium, but this seems unlikely. 3. Millennium saints – Perhaps there will be some who are saved during the millennium and those are the ones that are being judged. 4. Notice that this is a judgment for the "dead" (Revelation 20:12). a. This would indicate that it is more than likely not a judgment for those saved during the tribulation. b.
