IN Psalm 11, David is facing extreme dangers and is counseled by his advisors to run and hide in order to save himself. David's response to that counsel is the same response we should have as believers when we are facing our own difficulties--I will trust in the Lord. David goes on to proclaim that the Lord is still seated on the throne of heaven and He will execute judgment upon the wicked. With that eternal truth as the basis for our faith, even though the "foundations be removed," our response should be to just continue looking up. The Sovereign Lord is still in control and none of His promises to us will fail.
