God is here to guide us, to give us victory, and help us to be on top. Here we have been given this great promise of God being with us. The importance of Him being with us is that we know we are not alone. He came to save and rescue people; He didn't come to hurt people but from time to time we forget that part. When we feel like He is not there, He is still there. The deepest darkest sin we can get into still finds Him there with us.
