Having examined two causes in our last message, we focus on a third problem: A failure to distinguish the difference between justification and sanctification. While justification is a finished and perfect once done act of God's grace, sanctification is an incomplete, imperfect work that admits of degrees. If we are not careful we can begin to confuse the two and come to believe the lie that we are accepted by God on the basis of our own performance rather than the Person and finished work of Christ alone.
