Luke affirmed this great truth was by giving us the human genealogy of Jesus Christ, going all the way back to Adam. This proved Christ's true humanity. Jesus Christ was born into our race as a man among men. Knowing this is part of knowing who Jesus really is. He had to become one of us in order to save us. His genealogy proves that he did become one of us. "Christ the Son of God, became a son of Adam, that we sons of Adam, might become sons of God."
