In vs. 15, he tells us we must walk carefully and wisely making good use of the time because the days are evil. Vs. 17 commands us to know what the will of God is. Finally, in vs. 18-21 he commands us to be filled with the Spirit. “And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another in the fear of God.” Pretty much everyone who has studied this passage agrees being filled with the Spirit involves being controlled by the Holy
