The language of Psalm 105 fairly bristles with the Sovereign working of God. Difficult indeed are the words of Psalm 105:25: 'He turned their heart to hate His people, to deal craftily with His servants.' Though God is in no wise the Author of sin, nevertheless He is absolutely sovereign over the sinful actions of fallen men and angels. In this sermon we consider two important truths: 1. When God's Chosen People Are Oppressed By the World God Causes the Church to Prosper. 2. When the World Oppresses God's Chosen People It Is God Who Moves Them To Do So. Indeed, it was through God's Sovereign control of sinful men that our redemption has been accomplished, for Jesus Christ was crucified by the lawless hands of men according to the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God!
