Great Sermon! One of the best sermons I’ve heard on this text, that will be reverberating around my mind forever and I know I’ll be listening to it again & again! A true preacher in the true sense of the word! Very thankful I stumbled across this 🙌 |

Insightful and Encouraging I was reminded in this sermon of how Bunyan describes in his book, Grace Abounding to The Chief of Sinners, one of the ways that he was taught of The Spirit to interpret God’s Word correctly while Satan was suggesting false interpretations and applications to him, in order to confuse and discourage him greatly.
Bunyan says that he was enabled to see, through this experience of satan’s attempts to deceive him, that he was to “labor to take The Word as God had laid it down, without restraining the force of one syllable thereof”. Prior to this he had been afraid to carefully look into the meaning of some threatening verses.
Satan, of course, is real, and he engages in this practice now attempting to discourage and lead to despair those who come to Christ for salvation.
Pastor Thackway, in this sermon takes an interesting and seeming obscure verse of scripture, and doing just as Bunyan learned to do, he takes each syllable of this verse in its force and scope as God put it down, and thereby derives great lessons for us.
Thank You Lord, for Pastor Thackway and his church, for their faithfulness to You and Your Word in this dark time on this earth, and do be pleased to bless and keep him and them in Your grace and power, I pray, in Jesus Name. |

Thank you. The Lord was pleased to used Pastor Joe Terrell to bless me through the preaching of The Gospel everytime I made the opportunity to listen here on SermonAudio. Bro. Joe Terrell came to Houston, TX. and preached at Lincolnwood church, where I congregate.
My heart is heavy for the news that was delivered today by my pastor. I will be drenching in The Lord's word until He gives me breath. I pray the same for sis Bonnie and her family.
Thank you sis, Bonnie for being with Bro. Joe Terrell and serving God by serving and caring for Bro. Joe.
He loved you SOOOO much.
May The Lord comfort you and meet your needs now and forever, amen. |

Eye-opener Phenomenal message with real practical application on how to serve God and love it. Spoiler alert - it’s not by trying harder. |

I needed this. What a wake up call to myself, I saw myself here in these words and can only pray "Father forgive me for all the times I grieve thee"I even have the book The Valley of Vision and realise how much I need to meditate upon these precious prayers. Truly thank you dear brother for this address.🙏❤️🇦🇺 |

Thank you, brother. Logan,
I'm a pastor in the ARP and found your live stream this evening (Saturday evening, my time) of the tail end of your sermon on Heb. 11:24-27. First I had tuned in to a couple of other services in NZ, and each sermon I listened to was lifeless, tepid, if not outright boring...very discouraging. Then I lurked into your service and you were on fire, passionate, as though you actually believed the Word of God!! (which I know you do). I was incredibly edified and challenged by your message, even the little of it I was able to hear. Then I tuned into your latest devotional, which was also outstanding.
For what it's worth, know that apart from your own dear congregation, you reached a brother across the world today. I just wanted to thank you.
In Christ,
Mark Levine |

Great Sermon! Oh what a lovely message. How it condemns many professing Christians today for their superficial, heartless and empty repentanceses. The 21st century disease of easy believism runs rife today. But how wonderfully do we see in Mr Beekes message that God must first smite, wound and kill the sinner before repentance is given to him. God must orchestrate all the circumstances of the elect sinner that a thorough solid and lasting impression may be made on him. Here is the wonder of it all; God afflicts His people, and those same afflicted ones must go to Him that afflicted them and appear before Him that He may pardon and forgive them. How this reminds us of the children of Israel in the wilderness. They had sinned. God sends firey serpents which bite them. The last thing they want to see is a serpent. But to a serpent they must gaze so as to receive their healing. God smites and to Jesus must the sinner go to receive a pardon. This is the mystery of the gospel. |
